Ítem Caracterización de tensiones y conflictos en la interacción entre líderes y empleados en una empresa del sector productivo de la ciudad de Bogotá(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Durán Rozo, Dany Arnulfo; Henao Galeano, Carlos MarioObjective: identify tensions and conflicts that emerge in the interaction between employees and company leaders in the productive sector, specifically in the production and commercial areas, in order to identify their influence in organizational climate and job performance -- Method: For the investigation a case study method was developed with a hermeneutic orientation, In addition to the above, the research is of a descriptive nature since the intention was to identify tensions and conflicts generated by the leaders of a productive sector organization in the city of Bogotá, to understand how the organizational climate and the work performance are affected, using the methodology of case study -- In order to achieve this purpose, semi-structured interviews were used as a data collection technique -- It is necessary to indicate that the information collected was subjected to an analysis process that allowed carrying out the projected objectives -- Instruments: tools were available to determine the causes that led to propose a research to identify tensions and conflicts generated by the leaders of an organization in the productive sector, in this case a question guide, an analysis matrix and an exercise in triangulation of information. In particular, it was used as an information analysis tool, the model proposed by De Castro, Cardona, Gordillo and Támara (2007), which allows interpreting the information in an unbiased and comprehensive manner -- Results: This re-search constitutes a contribution to the organizations of the productive sector, since the con-cepts provided by the development of the research, as well as the field research carried out and the qualitative approach of the same, allowed to identify tensions generated by leaders of the organizations in the employees, and establish how the company's organizational climate affects work performance -- Likewise, it allowed to identify the distinctive features of the leaders that generate tensions and the incidences of these in the organization -- On the other hand, it allowed knowing the perceptions that operative position employees have on the ways of lead-ing managers and how it affects their work performance -- Finally, the research characterizes the main tensions and conflicts that are generated in the interaction between leaders and operative employees and reflects the analyzed information which serves as a source of consultation for companies in the productive sector, specifically the production and commercial areasÍtem Caracterización del concepto de liderazgo en la obra de Ikujiro Nonaka(2018) Zabala Vallejo, Camilo Adolfo; Henao Cálad, MónicaIn this paper a presentation of the Theory of creation of organizational knowledge and an analysis of the concept of leadership in the work of Ikujiro Nonaka is made -- In order to understand the importance of the concept of leadership in the work of this author, it is necessary to refer to his first works, in which, although the concept of leadership is not explicitly considered, the bases of the concepts that will serve to build it are presented -- Ikujiro Nonaka's Theory of creation of organizational knowledge raises some questions about what the role of leadership should be within the theory, which leads to establish important relationships with each of the components of this and present new concepts, such as that of Phronesis and Wise Leader, that theoretically support their function and whose analysis and theoretical framework constitute the central theme of Ikujiro Nonaka's most recent workÍtem Effect of leaders’ CQ on international projects performance(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Arboleda Medina, Paula Andrea; Román Calderón, Juan PabloPurpose -- Globalization has demanded companies to assume an active role as international players of an open market in order to survive the too hasty and challenging global transformations -- Thus, they have appealed to strategies such as taking their projects abroad to expand their frontiers, while working with multicultural teams --Design/methodology/approach -- A literature review is done, and a study on the effect of the leaders´ cultural intelligence (CQ, cultural quotient) in international projects working with multicultural teams is conducted -- In order to do so, the proposal is to identify how the leaders´ CQ, through variables such as learning, listening, communication, and motivation, affects the performance of international projects, and, hence, the triple constrain of the project´s success factors -- Findings -- Data was collected from three international projects developed by a Colombian bank, where 68 employees from nine countries voluntarily responded to an online survey -- The results show that even though the effect of the three components of the leaders´CQ on the multicultural team´s performance and, consequently, on the project´s budget were studied, the only ones that in fact exert an effect over the teams´ performance were physical CQ and cognitive CQ, while motivational CQ did not have any effect -- Originality/value -- To date, no study has inquired on the influence of the leaders´ CQ in international projects -- Particularly, this paper presents an investigation directed at studying the effect of CQ on the development of these types of projects, because current techniques applied to those working in international endeavors were developed under the assumption of monoculture project teams
