    The objective of this research is to propose a frame of reference for social innovation based on knowledge management in social organizations -- In the first instance, it was necessary to address the concepts of social innovation, knowledge management and social organizations, to then account for the potential integration of what such concepts represent, whose integration expands the dynamic that generates impact in the organization -- Then there was a study that allowed recognize elements of strategic direction, conceptions, domains and experiences of a group of social organizations in the management of knowledge and innovation -- From the above, it was achieved the vision that allowed configure the phases, cycles and processes -- The implicit vision in the frame of reference is that the greater the management of knowledge, the greater the influence oriented towards innovation will receive the social organization, and the same with respect to strengthening the cycles and the disposition that the social organization acquires with social innovation, because it will affect new knowledge -- The panorama generated by this virtuous circle is highly valued for the effect it could have on the organization and the subjects, thanks to the potential transformation that would be generated to impact the lives and needs of the subjects and the communities, showing in this way that the power of change that the organization can propitiate for itself and for the populations that are the object of its accompaniment outlines a much more encouraging scenario, which makes this type of organization validate its strategic position with greater strategic capacity to generate development and new perspectives for work
