Análisis de la recepción de la intelligentsia rusa en José Carlos Mariátegui y Alfonso Reyes
(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Anillo Martínez, Zairo; Cuartas, Juan Manuel; Universidad EAFIT
This article analyzes the reception of the Russian intelligentsia in the works of José Carlos Mariátegui and Alfonso Reyes, two key figures in 20th-century Latin American thought. The Russian intelligentsia, a group of intellectuals committed to social critique and political change in Tsarist Russia, significantly influenced both authors, who adapted these ideas to their Latin American contexts. Mariátegui incorporated the revolutionary ideals of the intelligentsia into his vision of Peru, emphasizing class struggle and the need for radical transformation. For him, the intellectual had to be deeply committed to social change, similar to the revolutionary Russian intellectuals, and direct their critique against existing power structures. Through this influence, Mariátegui promoted a social revolution that addressed the needs of indigenous peoples and the working classes of Latin America. On the other hand, Alfonso Reyes adopted a more moderate and humanistic approach to Russian influence, highlighting the role of the intellectual as a cultural mediator. Reyes avoided radical politicization and promoted the construction of an autonomous intellectuality in Latin America, focused on education and cultural dialogue. His concept of American intelligence reflected the search for a cultural identity that engaged with European traditions but was adapted to Latin American realities. The analysis reveals that both authors did not directly replicate the ideas of the Russian intelligentsia but reinterpreted them to formulate a critical and autonomous vision for Latin America. While Mariátegui leaned toward a militant stance, Reyes chose a more reflective and cultural path, both contributing to the shaping of Latin American thought that responds to the social and political challenges of the region.

This article analyzes the conceptual force of the right to the city and its reception in academic developments and urban practices in Latin America, paying particular attention to the case of the city of Medellín. For this purpose, a critical-genealogical methodology is used that allows addressing the history of the concept from its formulation in the work of Henri Lefebvre to its reception, appropriation and reproduction in said settings. The review of the spaces and authors through which the right to the city has transited will allow to account for the claiming potential of this concept with respect to social struggles. It should be noted that the relevance of this concept lies in its practical potential; that is, in the way it inspires social organizations to achieve changes in the city, and in its contribution to the generation of actions necessary for the transformation of existing inequalities. The article highlights the right to the city, present since the 1980s, as a relevant concept to think about the city of Medellín, in which there is evidence of a tension between international recognition and the crises caused by internal and even inequality not exceeded.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) González-Restrepo, Nicolás; Giraldo Quintero, Efrén Alexander
Explores the way in which successful hip-hop artists represent the tension that arises between the commercialization of art and the production of artistic work. Promoción del primer uso de la herramienta tecnológica de autorreporte "Tú cuentas" mediante una intervención comportamental con el modelo EAST
(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Forero Jaramillo, Camilo Andrés; Montoya Echeverri, Claudia Marcela; Cardona Franco, Paola Andrea; Echeverri Álvarez, Jonathan
The adoption of technological tools in corporate environments is a challenge for organizations. This study focused on achieving the first use, as a fundamental step for the adoption of a self-report tool. An intervention based on the principles of the EAST model was used, with the objective of minimizing the intention-action gap and evaluating the impact of two messages: utility/ease and safety/group benefit. The intervention was carried out in 187 entrepreneurs, using two treatments and a control group. The results showed that the intervention had a significant impact on access to the tool. In the control group, only 29.8% of participants performed measurable actions, while in the treatment groups, 63.1% and 64.6% of participants performed such actions, respectively. The differences between the treatments and the control group were statistically significant. However, no significant differences were found between the two implemented treatments, nor in the number of self-reports between the treatments and the control group. With the above, it is concluded that the messages designed with behavioral science tools had a positive impact on access to the technological tool in the analyzed corporate environment. However, more research is required to determine whether the messages alone or modifications to the tool design have a significant effect on continued use of the tool.
