Generational integration, lack of motivation and high staff turnover are some of the most relevant since if they are not managed in a timely manner, the productivity and profitability of companies will be affected. Under this situation, it is considered of great importance to study in detail the characteristics of this generation. In this paper, the working relationship between the millennial and their respective leader was analyzed, identifying the different tensions that may arise in order to find the best way to deal with them and minimize their negative impacts. To achieve this objective, a qualitative analysis was carried out through the study of a group of people belonging to generation Y, who participated in a semi-structured interview with questions related to their work experience, coexistence with superiors and peers, and personal priorities. It is expected that this work can contribute to companies that wish to hire young people (millennials) to achieve an appropriate work environment, correctly motivate their employees and retain human talent.
