This research is contextualized in the commercial policy of Colombia oriented towards the diversification of exports, as a solution to the problem of the high dependence that the country has on traditional exports, where SMEs play a fundamental role as drivers of said policy. For purposes of model estimation and analysis of financial variables, a sample made up of a homogeneous data series was obtained, where the criterion was the choice of those SMEs that had presented continuity in exports in each of the five periods (2016-2020), the sample was refined, removing the records that presented atypical data and that generated high dispersions, therefore, the final sample was 520 records (104 companies x 5 years = 520). In the end, it is concluded that the best estimation model is that of internal variables with an ar(1) structure, with the variables with the greatest individual significance being the internal ones, confirming that the export behavior of SMEs in the garment and clothing sector in Colombia is mainly determined by variables of a financial nature.Ítem Diseño del plan exportador para la PYME Madecentro de Colombia S.A(2019) Garcia Betancur, Andrés Felipe; Zuñiga Raigoza, Jaime Alberto; Giraldo, Gina MariaThis work presents the elaboration of an export plan for the company RTA Muebles from Medellín, a brand of Madecentro Colombia Public Limited Company, based on the initiative of Grupo Antioquia Exporta Más and its constituent entities: el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo; Bancóldex; Procolombia; Gobernación de Antioquia; Alcaldía de Medellín; Cámara de Comercio de Medellín para Antioquia; Cámara de Comercio Aburrá Sur; Cámara de Comercio del Oriente Antioqueño; Cámara de Comercio Colombo Americana; Asociación Nacional de Comercio Exterior, Analdex; Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia, Andi; Business Alliance for Secure Commerce, Basc; Corporación Ruta N; Institución Universitaria Esumer; Universidad EAFIT; Universidad Católica de Oriente; and CEIPA. We find that the opening up of the economy produced huge changes in the sector's exports and imports since 1992, which had important impacts on employment and production in this sector. Using a fixed effects econometric model, we identify that the value added of the textile sector was negatively affected by tradeopening. Hence, we conclude that trade liberalization was not beneficial for the Colombian textile industry.Ítem Efectos de la liberalización económica colombiana en el sector textil para finales del Siglo XX(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Gómez Valle, Catalina; Arenas Grajales, Kelly Yasmin; España Eljaiek, IrinaÍtem Evaluación de la factibilidad para exportación y comercialización de vestimenta de la empresa colombiana Digitex Commerce S.A.S a Estados Unidos, mediante un estudio descriptivo y cualitativo, que permita conocer las condiciones del mercado y sus oportunidades de negocio(Universidad EAFIT, 2018) Rodríguez Peláez, Ana Milena; Roldán Yepes, RaquelObjective: To evaluate the feasibility for export and commercialization of clothing of the Colombian company Digitex Commerce S.A.S to the United States, through a descriptive and qualitative study, which allows to know the market conditions and their business opportunities. Logistic decisions are made based on delivery times and must be founded and based on operations that are subject to control by the company and must be budgeted to set the international buyer delivery times adjusted to the export process, but these times must be budgeted and set step by step by the employer, so once the negotiation has started, delivery times are not the obstacle in the sale.Ítem El impacto de la tasa de cambio en la industria bananera de Colombia durante los años 2008-2019(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Varela Montoya, Sebastián; Suaza Gómez, René Gerónimo; Pérez Restrepo, Camilo AlbertoThe Colombian banana industry occupies an important line within the country's non-mining energy exports, specifically the third most representative sector after coffee and flowers, respectively. Banana production in Colombia concentrates in the Magdalena and Urabá regions of Antioquia, and the country directs approximately 90% of the production to the international markets. However, both export revenues and export volumes depend, among many other variables, on the volatility of the exchange rate. During the period 2008-2019, the exchange rate variability has been a constant, with both appreciation and depreciation periods suggesting impacts on the Colombian banana industry's income and production. This paper develops a data panel gravitational model, in which the exchange rate is an explanatory variable of both income and production quantities. In accordance with the theoretical framework and the background studied, the results show that a depreciation of the Colombian peso to the US dollar generates increases in export income. Likewise, an appreciation of the Colombian peso to the US dollar explains increases in Colombian bananas' export volumes to the international marketÍtem El impacto de las restricciones a las exportaciones colombianas a Venezuela.(2010-07-19) Botero García, JesúsCuantificar el impacto que las restricciones tienen sobre la producción y el empleo mediante un modelo de equilibrio general, es el objetivo del presente artículo. Additionally, this situation is made worse given the growth level for the 2018, in which the traditional exports increased a 15% while the non-traditional exports presents only a growth of 2% (DANE, 2020). The objective of this document is to design a rout plant based in the experience of current exports participants for the brand positioning for Colombian PYMES, with focus in the Central America market in mass consumption categories, in a way this industry can develop long term business, sustainable growth and value creation. This will allow more participation in the country exports with more value added products and an economy sustainable growth via diversification and business model expansions.Ítem Plan exportador clúster de interiorismo(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Baldovino Alcendra, Álvaro Danilo; Henao López, Juan Sebastián; Zuñiga Raigoza, Jaime AlbertoÍtem Plan exportador Confeccionarte S.A.S.(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Clavijo López, Daniel; Zúñiga, Jaime Alberto; Giraldo, Gina MaríaÍtem Plan exportador Inversiones Cool Drink S.A.S.(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Sánchez Ayure, Óscar; Henríquez Díaz, Ángela MaríaÍtem Plan exportador para Extrusiones S.A.(2019) Mazo Cañola, Alejandro; Giraldo Hernández, Gina María; Guerra Aranguren, María AlexandraAn Export Plan was carried out for the company Extrusiones S.A. Subsequently, the most favorable country for the company, Chile, was selected, and a more in-depth analysis of the identification of positive variables for the company and of the market's own risks was made.
