The particularity of the Sierra Productiva project is the technological implementation in agricultural production that goes hand in hand with community strengthening and other empowerment processes that have been transforming the spaces of the various communities where it has been carried out. In this sense, the concepts of community social capital and people-centered co-governance are used to identify key factors that enhance the achievements that give sustainability to the project in the villages of Carnachique, Villa María and Mullamanday. To do this, the way in which community social capital and co-governance spaces are related is identified, the role of people as agents of change is analyzed within the project development perspective, and the experience and scopes achieved through the project's value generation proposal. Interviews and participatory dynamics of collective construction were applied to the key actors identified from the project experience. Likewise, an anecdotal record is made of the participant observation in each field trip. The purpose of using a qualitative methodology was to collect information to know the processes, learning, perceptions, attitudes and dynamics of the project from the people who were related to the experience. Finally, there is evidence that suggests that the social structure of the communities is transformed. There is an increase in the agency capacity of the people who participate in the project, they are more closely linked to public and political local spaces, there is a greater willingness to associate, and people assume the role of agents of change. Rural identity and land work is revalued assimilating technology, likewise, the generation of value, and the obtaining of well-being as paradigms of development. On the other hand, the sustainability of the Sierra Productiva project is discussed from the experience in La Libertad analyzed in this research. To this extent, the maintenance and use of technologies, the philosophy of being an agent of change, and the economic and empowerment benefits make people persist applying what they have learned in a sustainable way. However, there are new challenges for Sierra Productiva to enhance its transferability, which fall both on the management of the project after the financial funds end or the possible transformation to other execution figures as it would be in a social enterprise.Ítem Cómo crear un ambiente de control en las organizaciones(Universidad EAFIT, 2003) Mejía Quijano, Rubi Consuelo; Universidad EAFITÍtem Desigualdad salarial : una perspectiva internacional(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Rueda Correa, Valentina; González Estrella, Laura; Toro Valencia, José AlbertoInternational Organizations such as UN, ILO and OCDE have extended the spectrum that we’ve been studying and analyzing the gender gap with, highlighting the fact that there is still a huge difference regarding the remuneration that men and women get under the same circumstances of mode, time and place; difference that, mostly, has been attributed to the discrimination that women have been a target and victims traditionally. Thus, this study aimed to identify and analyze the factors driving the empowerment of rural women in Montes de María in agriculture and evaluate how this empowerment significantly contributes to their economic independence and peacebuilding in their communities. Mixed research methods were employed for data collection in the field through focus groups, with data being qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed to delve into the perceptions and experiences of rural women regarding agriculture and empowerment. Additionally, information was cross-referenced with relevant scientific literature to enrich the context and understanding of the findings. The results show a significant advancement in community-led processes by rural women, indicating a conscious understanding of their active role in family and society. However, challenges ranging from climatic vulnerabilities affecting their food and economic security to barriers in land access and entrenched patriarchal structures in society were identified, limiting their ability to fully exercise their empowerment. The study concludes with a set of recommendations advocating for strengthening policies on land restitution, access and titling, promoting technical training tailored to the needs of rural women, fostering leadership in agricultural projects, facilitating organization and association, improving access to markets, and addressing gender-based violence. These proposed actions have the potential to generate a positive impact on the lives of rural women, promoting their economic autonomy and strengthening their participation in decision-making to contribute to sustainable peace in the region.Ítem Sororidad en la empresa : la opinión calificada de dieciseis ejecutivas en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Roldán Ortega, Sara; Zapata Zapata, Aura Alexandra; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoThis degree work corresponds to a research on the perception of senior executives in Colombia regarding sorority among women and based on their experience and knowledge, how these bonds of sisterhood that are woven between women can enhance their business leadership or, on the contrary, how competition and lack of mutual support can limit and slow down the professional growth of women. The objective of this research is to investigate the perceptions and experiences of 16 Colombian women executives with the purpose of exploring sorority in organizations. Empirically based on their experiences, many women affirm that the lack of sorority among them is due to the macho cultural roots that have limited to a great extent their access to leadership positions and, therefore, have promoted a strong competition among the female gender, rather than a bond that encourages them to support each other. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how solidarity among women is perceived, how it emerges and what is its real importance in the transition towards female leadership.
