Using textual analysis of 95 annual report CEO letters and financial data from Economática, social and environmental orientation was quantified via Moss et al.’s (2018) dictionary. The results revealed no statistically significant correlations between the socio-environmental variables and financial metrics, though weak trends emerged: negative coefficients for the environmental dimension and positive ones for the social dimension. Traditional factors like leverage and firm size were found to be strong predictors of financial performance. These findings underscore the complexity of linking ESG practices to profitability in emerging markets, where conventional financial drivers still prevail. The study contributes evidence to inform better ESG communication strategies and suggests that future research should integrate verified ESG metrics and longitudinal approaches to more fully capture these dynamics.Publicación Análisis del conflicto felino-humano en la Orinoquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Barrera Pedraza, Laura Milena; Vargas Sáenz, Mario EnrriqueThe felines are in danger of extinction due to deforestation, pollution, the fragmentation of their habitat, hunting, illegal trafficking and conflicts with humans when they attack domestic animals just for survival, for this reason it is intended to publicize the origin, the causes of the conflict and the actions that public and private institutions have developed in different regions of the country, in order to mitigate the conflict and harmonize the coexistence between the productive sectors and nature. In this manner, the leaders of the companies wish that the social innovation is fit with a greater capacity for action and is a transversal and strategic element that exemplifies the thinking and actions of the organization. Because of this, the objective of this research is to set a frame of reference that allows organizations on how to understand and manage the strategic elements and enablers for the systemic appropriation of social innovation within, seeking to be adopted by all employees and not only because of the areas traditionally connected with these issues. Based on this statement, a multi-case study was carried out, in which, through semistructured interviews and bibliographic review, the motivations, gaps and barriers existing in middle management and the base of companies for the appropriation of social innovation are understood, a context in which relevant inputs were found for the construction of the frame of reference and the achievement of the objective. Based on this understanding, it was clear that organizations need to have initial agreements to later promote structural and systemic changes. Thus, a context is fostered in which people develop or strengthen a knowledge and behaviour of social innovation, at the same time that organizations transform from within to consolidate their capacity for social innovation, in order to find a balance between the formal and the emerging, the individual and the community.Publicación Aproximación al emprendimiento social(Universidad EAFIT, 2013) Arcila Arroyave, Andrés FelipePublicación Assessment of subjective workplace well-being of construction workers : a bottom-up approach(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Carvajal Arango, David; Vásquez Hernandez, Alejandro; Botero Botero, Luis FernandoPublicación Caracterización de los estudiantes de noveno, décimo y undécimo para el fomento de la cultura del emprendimiento en una institución educativa de la ciudad de Envigado(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Mejía Sánchez, Lucas Andrés; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelEducation is the process in which positive influence is exerted on a person, to develop capacities that carry out a correct development in the social sphere, transmitting culture and allowing its evolution.
