Ítem Evaluación del medio de cultivo sobre la producción de macromoléculas funcionales en la cepa Chlorella sorokiniana UTEX 1230 como posible suplemento alimenticio para gallinas ponedoras(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Múnera Betancourt, Amalia; Miranda Parra, Alejandra MaríaAlgae and microalgae are considered viable sources of protein for the poultry industry, used in animal nutrition to replace soybean meal (SBM) due to their high content of protein, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and pigments. This study evaluates the production of functional macromolecules in the microalgae strain Chlorella sorokiniana UTEX 1230 as a supplement for laying hens. Cell growth was examined in different culture media with stimulant clinker powder, evaluating the bromatological composition, exopolysaccharides, fatty acid profile and in vitro digestibility, as well as the cost of production. These preliminary analyses are key to the implementation of microalgae as a protein source in poultry feed and warrant further in vivo testing.
