Ítem Análisis de las condiciones socioeconómicas de las mujeres en Colombia : la incidencia de la economía del cuidado en la probabilidad de estar empleado(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) García Gómez, Valentina; Dávalos Álvarez, EleonoraThis research manages to evidence gender inequality when performing unpaid domestic care tasks and its impact on the Colombian labor market, in addition to proving that this situation not only limits female labor participation, but also has an impact on its efficiency and performance. Based on the National Time Use Survey 2017-2018 and implementing a linear probability model, it is found that performing this type of unpaid tasks has a negative impact on the probability of obtaining a job. In addition, it confirms the double workday fulfilled by those women who manage to get employed and who additionally work longer hours having a high proportion of time use for care economy work.Ítem La mujer rural : un análisis de las condiciones socioeconómicas y participación laboral de la mujer rural en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Bedoya Jaramillo, Mariana; Velásquez Correa, Lisdey; Muñoz Mora, Juan CarlosGender inequality is a global problem that has been around since ancient times and that little by little has had positive changes that have helped to mitigate the inequality gap between men and women (ECLAC, 2020). In the rural sector, this problem is mainly marked in matters of education, economic autonomy, working conditions, and access to land and credit, therefore, deepening these issues is of great help in finding solutions to this situation. Rural women's participation in the labor market is limited by the hours dedicated to domestic work and childcare, in addition to using most of their harvest for self-consumption, causing them to consider themselves less productive than their male peers . For this reason, this research focuses on conducting an analysis of the socioeconomic variables that affect the productivity and participation of rural women in the labor market.Ítem El salario mínimo en Colombia 2001-2006: efectos sobre la distribución de salarios por género(Universidad EAFIT, 2016) Ferrer Isaza, Miguel; Granados Moreno, Samuel; Posso Suárez, Christian ManuelEste trabajo estima los efectos de incrementos del salario mínimo sobre hombres y mujeres para diferentes percentiles de la distribución en Colombia -- El análisis se realiza empleando el método de regresión RIF y la descomposición de Oaxaca-Blinder para el periodo 2001-2006 -- Se encontró que en mercados con una mayor incidencia del salario mínimo (SM)-medido por el número de trabajadores que son afectados en el margen por un incremento del SM-, el incremento en los salarios es mayor para hombres que para mujeres, especialmente en percentiles bajos, contribuyendo de forma significativa a la brecha salarial por género
