The positive and significant impact on the leverage multiplier and asset turnover was found, as well as the negative relationship between net interest margin and ROE in relation to good corporate governance practices. In addition, the relationship between representative qualitative characteristics of banks, such as origin, stock exchange listing and AAA risk rating, with the implementation of good corporate governance practices was analyzed, and it was found that banks listed on the stock exchange had greater incentives to comply with them.Ítem Estilos de liderazgo auto percibidos por ocho altas directivas de la ciudad de Popayán(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Maya Durán, Susana Eugenia; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoÍtem Estilos de liderazgo autopercibido versus liderazgo percibido en dos multilatinas de Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Gómez Sanchez, Juliana Constanza; Gil Arroyave, Carolina; López Gallego Francisco Darío;15430609Objetive: Compare the styles of self-perceived leadership by the leaders of two multilatinas companies in Medellín versus the leadership styles perceived by their work teams, in order to identify gaps that allow subsequent adjustments in the equipment management processes. Method: Qualitative - descriptive re-search, although this type of approach was chosen, the exercise was performed to determine the joint analysis of the results, in order to obtain a summary of the trends within the group studied. This doesn´t mean that the results obtained had not statistical validity. In the same way, the method will be a multi cases study, based on Yin (2003) and Bell (2005) theory. The tech-nique to obtain information is Managerial Grid of Blake & Mouton (1964), LEAD -The Leader Adaptability and Style Inventory de Hersey & Blanchard (1974) and the adaptation of the power kinds inventory based on French & Raven (1959) theory. Research Question: What are the coincidences and differences between the leadership style self-perceived by the leaders and the styles perceived by the work teams about their leaders in five areas of two multilatinas companies in Medellín city? Results: It was found that, for the employees of both companies, the perception of leadership style was more positive than the leader's self-perception. It was also evident in the five leaders a leadership style oriented at a high level in both tasks and people, the leaders motivate through persuasion to their employees to achieve the objectives they set, making them participate in decisions and giving value to their opinions. After its execution, both the demographic data and the self-perceived skills with higher and lower similar qualifications among the respondents were identified.Ítem Multicanalidad y conflicto, análisis para algunas compañías de Colombia.(Universidad Eafit, 2019) Uribe Mejía, Pablo; González Bravo, Sebastian; Giraldo Hernández, Gina María; Valencia Amaya, Mauricio GiovanniThe purpose of this research is to identify the critical variables considered by the companies analyzed to solve the problems that arise in multichannel distribution. The research is a qualitative study, with semi-structured interviews with their senior managers, which seeks to know the strategies that companies have used to manage these conflicts. The main causes of conflicts identified among the distribution channels were errors in price policies, lack of communication, lack of control, portfolio differentiation and commercial irresponsibility. It is even more important than innovation of products and services. Business model innovation allows organizations to increase revenues, competitive advantage and sustainability, thanks to the new logics of value creation and capture established to generate economic growth. Therefore, this piece of work aims to identify what managers should take into account to innovate in their business model. Accordingly, literature published in renowned databases from 2002 to 2018 is reviewed and studied. Then, the elements for effective innovation management by directors and managers, the core elements as the fundamental support and the functional elements to achieve a successful innovation are defined. Thus, this proposal is built on the integration of the results of the most important research projects carried out about tools, patterns and strategy in business model innovation. As a result, a guide including the innovation process in business model and the elements associated with each stage, in order to support management is presented.Ítem Quiebre del gobierno corporativo de EPM(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Soto Acevedo, Oswaldo de Jesús; Patiño Atehortúa, Lina Paola; Téllez Falla, Diego FernandoEmpresas Públicas de Medellín (EPM) is a public, municipal and decentralized company dedicated to the provision of home services such as energy, gas supply, cleaning, aqueduct and sewage, whose sole owner is the Municipality of Medellín. This owner-company relationship allows the transfer of 55% of its financial surplus between ordinary, extraordinary and additional of each fiscal period, and these transfers contribute an average of 20% of the resources that are invested in the development plans of the different mayoralties of the city. • Law 142 of 1994 in its article 27 determines the special rules on the participation of public entities and that in any capacity participate in the capital of residential public utility companies. • The territorial authority is exercised by the Municipality and is represented by the Mayor. • The Mayor is elected by popular vote. • The Mayor is a main member of the Board of Directors, and is responsible for freely appointing five independent members, three non-independent members who are part of the list of development and social control committees and also the General Manager. This case study collects information from 2007 to April 2022 related to EPM and Medellín´s Mayor's Office, describing their management from corporate governance and how the transfers for social investment operated in the development plans of each of the mayors who governed the city.
