Publicación Aplicación del método del Retorno Social de la Inversión (SROI) al programa de aprovechamiento comercial de hongos amazónicos en Concordia, Inírida-Guainía(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Méndez Muñoz, Francy Liliana; Echeverri Hernández, SantiagoThe objective of this study is to determine, measure, and communicate the social and environmental impact of the Commercial Use of Amazonian Mushrooms Program in the indigenous community of Concordia, Guainía. This information primarily aims to strengthen transparency and trust among the stakeholders involved in the program, including funders, by providing them with a high-value informational resource for their organizations. The study will clearly reflect the impact generated in the intervened community, particularly in social and environmental aspects. On the other hand, this study will be of utmost importance to the indigenous community of Concordia, as it will provide them with a tool for decision-making, attracting new investors, and consolidating a positive image by demonstrating efficiency and responsibility in the use of acquired resources. It is expected that this document will serve as a starting point for the indigenous community of Concordia to project its future while also identifying opportunities and areas for improvement. To gather the data, the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology will be applied to the Commercial Use of Amazonian Mushrooms Program in the indigenous community of Concordia, Guainía. It is worth highlighting that this program is in an advanced stage of implementation within the Concordia community, with plans to expand its reach with the implementation of the prototype cultivation system in other parts of the Inírida municipality. For the construction of this study, information will be taken directly from the population of the Indigenous Community of Concordia to reveal the impacts achieved during this period, thus lending dynamism and reliability to the final results. This will also expose the differential dynamics that concern work in territories with ethnic populations. It is vitally important to begin opening critical dialogues to transform the inequality gaps within communities. This will require initiatives that stem from the territory and its people, from local experiences that deserve to be replicated, as well as from experiences that were unsuccessful and should not be repeated or, if necessary, transformed. This is achieved by documenting and generating reliable information available to the general public. For this purpose, two measures of heterogeneity are constructed, using entropy indices, which capture the heterogeneity among students of the same school in the levels of household wealth and in the educational levels reached by the parents. It is found, under both measures, that the level of heterogeneity is higher for official schools than for non-official schools. The theoretical model used to derive the empirical implications establishes that higher levels of heterogeneity among students in a school increase the academic performance of students, however, when balancing the sample there is no evidence of the effect of heterogeneity on performance.Publicación Implementación de la Unidad Municipal de Atención y Acceso a la Justicia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Piedrahita Londoñoño, Wilfer Alonso; Atehortua Osorio, Mariano de Jesús; Murcia Sánchez , David Ricardo; Alcaldía de SabanetaPublicación Ingeniería del conocimiento al servicio de las estrategias de promoción de la salud y prevención de la enfermedad en comunidades de Medellín : una apuesta interdisciplinaria entre la comunicación y la salud(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Castro Quintero, Juan David; Henao Cálad, MónicaThe challenges imposed by people's well-being have important challenges that the Colombian health system sometimes doesn´t cover. The lack of scope in care demands a proactive role of communities in their state of health, but this doesn´t happen alone. The medical knowledge concentrates elements verified by scientific evidence references not only to the disease but to the Promotion of Health and Disease Prevention (PH&DP), vital for well-being, since health is not involved exclusively in the pathology. Each person is an active agent in his state, but an adequate transfer of medical knowledge is required, because someone who knows the elements associated with his condition and care will have more notions of a healthy life. For this transfer, articulation with areas related to the contextual understanding of communities is essential; one of these is communication. This research aims to propose knowledge strategies for the integration of knowledge of health professionals and communicators of the Faculty of Medicine - University of Antioquia, in PH&DP in communities of Medellin, applying knowledge engineering techniques and identifying paths that materialize this interdisciplinary work to bring medical knowledge to communities. It will be deepened if this integration will favor the generation of strategies of appropriation of knowledge in PH&DP, through qualitative methodologies, with which the work with experts and communicators around a referent pathology, will contribute to deepen in this field, and provide guidance for later work in community.Publicación Intervención comportamental para aumentar el porcentaje de visitantes coagricultores a la finca de la CSA camino a la montaña-Eafit(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Vega Gutiérrez, Laura; Henao Duque, Andrea; Silva Jaramillo, SantiagoClimate change and the entire global conversation around this phenomenon has led to the creation of a new type of activist who takes their negative emotions in the face of this problem, turns them into concrete actions and changes their ways of consumption, especially when it comes to food. Thus, he chooses an agroecological model such as the one represented by a Community that Sustains Agriculture (CSA), where the consumer becomes a co-farmer who assumes the same risks as the farmer. This model exists at EAFIT and has 27 co-farmers who support a peasant family with a monthly payment. For this CSA to work, it must comply with a series of characteristics that imply the consolidation of a community. It was found that one way to potentiate the community was by strengthening the link between farmer and co-farmer through a visit to the farm, and to achieve massive assistance, an intervention based on the MINDSPACE behavioral model was carried out, which wanted to show the farming family as the key messenger for generating feelings of closeness and familiarity; create expectations and positive emotions around the visit and generate a public commitment to attend. After the intervention, it was concluded that it was not possible to increase the percentage of co-farmers present on the farm; however, it was possible to generate the expected emotions and the messenger was the most relevant element of the intervention.Publicación La creación de empresas sociales, un reto para las juntas de acción comunal (JAC)(Universidad Eafit, 2019) Lopera Naranjo, Carlos Enrique; Álvarez Suárez, Hernán Darío; Vargas Sáenz, Mario Enrique; Administración municipal de RionegroThis research work is based on the creation of social enterprises from the community action boards (CAB) generating a social, economic and environmental impact, in order to strengthen different potentials that the community possesses and provide a sustainable economy. Despite developing strategies to cope with these challenges, such as ignoring homophobic comments and seeking support within the community, discrimination persists. This underscores the need to raise awareness and continue efforts to promote equality and understanding within the Medellin community. To achieve this, was presented the company, its strategic focus, an analysis of the external and internal situation, i.e, a competitive analysis of the industry, of the external and internal environment and its variables, and was raised the swot matrix. Also, a market analysis was conducted, qualitative research, it was proposed the deployment of the marketing strategies, its budget, schedule, sales and profits forecast, control and follow-up mechanisms, and finally, lessons learned were collected. That’s how it was found that few cities supply and technological option that connects trainers, people with digital skills and companies, that communities are redefining the future, that’s not easy to differentiate if a platform doesn’t organize as a community with a sturdy value proposition, which causes immediate interest and even allows us to overcome indirect competitors; that MDT must take advantage of the ability of its main peer, Ruta N, to mobilize the city. The above can make MDT become an option for creating revenue other than renting office space; getting back part of the value is creates for Medellín. This marketing plan expectation is to comply with MDT’s needs and contributes to its development.Publicación Rol de las universidades en la implementación de la política pública de Apropiación Social del Conocimiento, caso Medellín(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Herrera Cardona, Andrea; Gómez Gaviria, Oscar AlbertoThe Social Appropriation of Knowledge has an impact on the generation of new public policies, on the transformation of the realities of territories, on the dissemination and communication of science as an agent for the strengthening or solution of issues of social interest.
