Estrategia para el incremento de energía eólica en el Grupo ENEL Emgesa
(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Mantilla Barbosa, Héctor Andres; Giraldo Hernández, Gina María
This degree project analyzes the current situation of clean energy and the use that is being given to them in Colombia, with the purpose of identifying the factors that limits the development of this type of projects. Moreover, proposes to analyze the current legislation in Colombia, to evaluate if whether or not they’re enough to develop in long term the projects that support the Colombian society needs. In the country already is accounted with electricity supply based on solar panels and hydroelectric plants, but, although there are specific areas to implement large scale wind power plants, nowadays the use and development is not enough. In Colombia Enel-Emgesa has an alliance with Enel green Power, a multinational in the energetic sector with headquarters in Latin-American, which is strongly committed to develop and research in clean energy to implement projects in long term to supply the Latin-American society needs, preserving and caring of the environment. With this investigation the reasons for the mentioned degree of development were identified, besides to propose an increase strategy to be implemented.

The oil industry faces the challenge of advancing toward more efficient and sustainable operations within the context of the global energy transition. Drilling rigs - both onshore and offshore - have high energy demands. Traditionally, these demands have been met by diesel-powered systems, which entail high operating costs and significant carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. For this reason, the integration of renewable energy sources - such as photovoltaic solar systems, wind power, green hydrogen, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid microgrids - represents a strategic opportunity to reduce diesel consumption, optimize costs, and decrease the environmental footprint without compromising operational reliability. International evidence (Arent et al., enero de 2019; Saber et al., 2019) shows that, in the short and medium term, the most feasible configuration is the renewable-diesel hybrid scheme, which supplies the base load with clean energy and uses diesel generators as backup for peak demand and contingencies. This approach requires analyzing hour-by-hour load profiles, fuel consumption, and the operational conditions of each site. In Colombia, the availability of solar and wind resources, along with incentive policies (Law 1715 of 2014, which regulates the integration of non-conventional renewable energies into the National Energy System) and the interest of key actors such as Ecopetrol and Celsia, create a favorable environment for pilot electrification projects in drilling operations. However, challenges persist: high capital expenditures (CAPEX), payback periods, regulatory complexities, and logistical and environmental considerations, especially in regions such as La Guajira.

Valoración empresarial de la estación de servicio El Palmar de la sociedad Grupo Kasal S.A.S.
(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Correa Contreras, Julián Alcides; Izquierdo Restrepo, Juan Carlos; Orozco Echeverry, César Augusto
The constant change, the evolution of economies and the growing use of technologies make visible the need to know the current and constant value of investments. Capitalists seek to make the best use of their resources, in order to maximize the utilities and increase their wealth. This study looks for inform the shareholders of the KASAL S.A.S. the commercial value that the "El Palmar" Service Station has today, using as a valuation method the discounted free cash flow from the analysis of the historical financial information, allowing to project the financial statements in a time frame of five years. Understanding the valuation and growth of investment in the company over the years, will allow shareholders to obtain additional financial tools to make the corporate decision to offer it or not for sale, a decision that will be made during the first semester of 2019.
