The experiments were carried out in a laboratory scale batch reactor with a monopolar configuration was built with graphite (anode) and titanium (cathode) electrodes. Prelimary tests were carried out with a sample volume of 200 ml, a submerged area of 25.13 cm2 for the graphite electrode and 40 cm2 for the titanium electrode and 240 minutes as a residence time, voltage of 15 V and an agitation value of 200 rpm.Ítem Tratamiento de aguas residuales por medio de un sistema acoplado de fotocatálisis - humedales(2008) Arroyave López, Fabián; Gutiérrez Rojas, Gloria María; Gil Pavas, EdisonThis study evaluated the connection between photocatalysis and artificial wetlands as a phenolic resins production wastewater treatment. The experiments were carried out in a laboratory scale cilindric photoreactor with 4 lamps of 254 nm, an agitation system and an aireation system operated in batch mode. Preliminary experiments were carried out with a sample volumen of 300 ml varying residence time, H2O2 reinjection time, pH, amount of H2O2. For heterogenous photocatalysis and for photo-fenton, the amounts of TiO2 and FeSO4.7H2O varied respectively. It was found that photo-fenton gives the best results for the phenol degradation; therefore it was selected as the oxidation process for the treatment.
