While the concept is identified, there are conceptual gaps in its application, resulting in inadequate implementation. Additionally, it was observed that the applied standard sometimes becomes more stringent than what is established for certain processes. This led to the identification that a significant percentage of the cases handled by civil judges are executive processes. Therefore, it is proposed that some stages of these processes could be developed through artificial intelligence, particularly through the automation of certain phases.Ítem Retos frente a la repatriación de colombianos condenados y privados de la libertad en estados extranjeros : mecanismos vigentes y principales desafíos a los que se enfrentan los connacionales(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Restrepo García, Alejandra; Trujillo Montoya, Carolina; Toro Valencia, José AlbertoThe repatriation of people sentenced and imprisoned in foreign countries is an issue that has been little developed in Colombia even though is intrinsically related to the issue of Human Rights. This work investigates the existing mechanisms for the repatriation and rights protection of Colombians sentenced abroad identifying two main routes. First, the conventional mechanisms route that include treaties and agreements ratified by Colombia. Second, the alternative mechanisms such as the diplomatic route that has precedent in cases of convicted persons in the People's Republic of China. The above in order to identify the main challenges faced by Colombian nationals in terms of repatriation. Also, to put in evidence the need for subscription of multilateral and bilateral treaties that regulate the issue. And finally, to show Colombia’s need to complete an international repatriation framework for the protection of its nationals sentenced abroad.
