Ítem Estilos de liderazgo y empoderamiento : el caso de la empresa Stop Jeans(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Henao Pino, Isabel Cristina; Ruiz Quiroz, Vannesa; López Gallego, Francisco DaríoThe evolution in organizational management and team management practices has occurred in history hand in hand with advances in the conception of leadership and the search for explanations for its success or failure. This work is based on the exploration of some theories that have sought to explain the leadership and management behaviors of outstanding teams and with successful results that began by interpreting their explanation from inherited traits, then the theory of traits was discussed and studied the characteristics and common traits of leadership, then the theory of behavior was reached and later the theory of contingency was raised, finding as a relevant element the situation in which leadership occurs that gives rise to the differential behavior of the leader. At this point, Blake and Mouton's managerial grid theory plus Hersey and Blanchard's situational leadership theory, along with their proposed models for identifying leadership styles, are presented as relevant and as the methodology used in this degree work, to carry out an investigative work located in the Stop Jeans company, which had the intention of exploring the leadership styles of the company's leaders at all levels to provide the human resources area with a diagnosis of how close or prepared they were to promote the empowerment of their teams; and in which the main finding was the fact that the leadership styles that predominated in the organization had a high interest both in the relationship with people and in the task and the results, finally pointing out that they were not currently prepared to the empowerment of their teams in charge.
