The aim of this article is to question some of the intellectual fashions in psychology, and show a possibility of analyzing them from conceiving theories as dialects (Ramirez, 2011a). Initially, different records, types and levels of reality are posed. In a second stage, theory is defined and its relation with reality is determined. In a third stage, based on the previous development, it is proposed that theories are like dialects and, as such many of them can be ``spoken'' by the same person. Finally, it is considered that the hypothesis above mentioned contributes to a non-dogmatic analysis, which prevents, in part, uncritical adherence to intellectual fashions of psychology.
