Biopesticida para el control biológico de plagas en banano

A new biopesticide that can be used to control some pathogenic fungi and bacteria of banana plants, which improves production in this crop in agribusiness, was patented by researchers from the Biological Sciences and Bioprocesses (Cibiop) research group of EAFIT and the Association of Banana Growers of Colombia (Augura) through the Banana Research Center (Cenibanano).

Inspired by nature and in order to achieve greater protection, flexibility and resistance against high-energy explosive charges, researchers from EAFIT and the company Tecnologías Marte created a novel synthetic material that resembles fish scales.
