dc.description.abstractThis case of study it is showed how the implementation of two different methods reach the effective interaction of engineering processes that have statistically meaningful differences between the key performance indicators for the reaching, the cost and the time. Both from the identification of projects, products, machines and in general of the technologies involved in the manufacturing of products made of wood. The first one is based on the framework from the Project Management Institute (PMI), meanwhile the second one is based on a mixture of Business Processes Management (BPM) and the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) for projects management. The case of study describes the key focuses, assumptions and tasks required by them, like the experimental design and the statistically comparison gotten between them. At the end, the effects of both focuses related with the key performance indicators for the reaching, cost and time are discussed. © 2018 Latin American and Caribbean Consortium of Engineering Institutions.
