We find that these narrations allow the inscription of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina in the national memory and contribute to generate new perspectives to the historic discourse of the country, and we identify in them foundational characteristics, usuals in larinoamerican novels of XIX century, that responds to the expropriation of the cultural identity of the native community of the Archipelago and its absence of historical representation.Ítem Realizaciones de víctimas del secuestro en Colombia : análisis del acto de reconocimiento “Verdades que liberen : reconocimiento de responsabilidades de secuestro por parte de Farc” como espacio de manifestación de las víctimas(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) López Sánchez, Daniela; Zuluaga Aristizábal, Marda UcarisÍtem Intereses, alianzas e interdependencias : aspectos de la relación empresas y artes en Medellín, 1968-1990(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Botero Villa, Lina María; Mejía Ramírez, SebastiánÍtem La Ceiba de la memoria : un políptico del despojo(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Franco Montoya, John Edison; Vélez Upegui, MauricioÍtem La asincronía entre la ciencia y la ética : un reto para la supervivencia(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Escobar Restrepo, Gustavo Adolfo; Vélez López, Germán DaríoThis paper aims to find the state of the matter regarding the solvency of an useful and valid ethical framework to face the unintentional challenges of science, impassive, in particular genetic engineering, impacting humanity’s concept of good and virtue. Assuming different perspectives, some catastrophic, some moderate and some hopeful, the concepts and recommendations of scientists and international entities are reviewed. Furthermore, the perceptions of three contemporary thinkers on the issues generated by the science of genetic engineering and human genome modifications are also reviewed, which open the doors to a potential and new eugenics, both liberal and totalitarian, with the effects on an individual’s self-understanding as well as the ethical understanding and validity of the species. The paper’s hypothesis indicates that there is currently an important asynchrony between science and ethics, stating that there is no ethical capacity leading humanity through time and evolution, seeking the survival of the species or accompanying it on its journey to a new era and a new humanity.Ítem La construcción ficcional de la memoria colectiva en Los emigrados de W. The research has a theoretical foundation from the concept of cultural hybridization and multiculturalism of Nestor García Canclini; for the concept of narrative identity, the postulates of Paul Ricoeur were reviewed. It is intended from the narratives of the communities, to verify how identity is built through the story; because through the narratives, the subject organizes his ideas taking into account the vision of himself and others, expressing stories, naming characters, settings, actions and plots related to the social context. The San Lucas Mountain range is a portion of territory where the inhabitants weave their stories, their culture that will not be possible without history, without myths and without actors. This article aims to show a community and a territory of people of diverse ethnic and cultural origins, with unique visions of the forest they inhabit as a space for their cosmogonies, stories, and traditions. People of the forest, of whom little is known about their identities, and understand by this not their names, not their certificates, not their debts, but rather their places of enunciation, their speeches, their stories, their history, their desires, their possible modes of existence.Ítem Apocalipsis : una compleja red de interrelaciones.
