El presente texto pretende ofrecer una escueta descripción de los elementos que merecen ser tomados en cuenta al momento de recrear la fiesta ateniense del siglo V a.C., conocida con el nombre de Grandes Dionisias -- Así mismo, se intenta caracterizar, desde una doble perspectiva formal y sustantiva, cada uno de los géneros poéticos que eran sometidos a concurso en el seno de dicha celebración -- Y todo enmarcado en una imagen figurada, no exenta de imaginación, de algunos aspectos con los cuales se podría esbozar la vida social de aquella ciudad.
This paper aims to provide a brief description of the elements that deserve to be taken into account at the moment of recreating the Athenian party of the fifth century BC known as Great Dionysia -- Likewise it attempts to characterize, from a double formal and substantive perspective, each of the poetic genres that were subjected to competition within the celebration -- Finally, all of it is placed within the context of a figurative image, not without imagination, of some aspects which could outline the social life of that city.
