Resumen
Gender inequality is a global problem that has been around since ancient times and that little by little has had positive changes that have helped to mitigate the inequality gap between men and women (ECLAC, 2020). In the rural sector, this problem is mainly marked in matters of education, economic autonomy, working conditions, and access to land and credit, therefore, deepening these issues is of great help in finding solutions to this situation.
Rural women's participation in the labor market is limited by the hours dedicated to domestic work and childcare, in addition to using most of their harvest for self-consumption, causing them to consider themselves less productive than their male peers . For this reason, this research focuses on conducting an analysis of the socioeconomic variables that affect the productivity and participation of rural women in the labor market.

La inequidad de género es una problemática mundial que viene desde la antigüedad y que poco a poco ha tenido cambios positivos que han ayudado a mitigar la brecha de desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres (CEPAL, 2020). En el sector rural, esta problemática se ve marcada principalmente en temas de educación, autonomía económica, condiciones laborales y acceso a tierras y a crédito, por ende, profundizar en estos temas son de gran ayuda para encontrar soluciones a esta situación.
La participación de la mujer rural en el mercado laboral se ve limitada por las horas dedicadas a trabajos domésticos y al cuidado de sus hijos, además por emplear la mayor parte de su cosecha para el autoconsumo, ocasionando que se considere menos productiva que sus pares masculinos. Por esto, esta investigación se centra en realizar un análisis de las variables socioeconómicas que afectan la productividad y la participación de la mujer rural en el mercado laboral.
