    Approaching new piano literature: composition and interpretation of four piano etudes

    In the literature for solo instrument, etudes typically present different kinds of technical and expressive challenges. In fact, they often focus on unique and problematic aspects of performance on a specific instrument. The short group of piano etudes presented here has the same purpose, although, in some cases, it recalls writing techniques and melodic-rhythmical modules usually associated with composers and styles of both the past and present times. In this article in particular, four etudes (Scales, Expressive Fingering, Parallel Thirds and Broken Octaves) are briefly described and analyzed from both a compositional and an interpretive approach, given the case that both the composer and the interpreter were in contact during the creative and learning process of the pieces. The result of this kind of collaboration is twofold: a composition whose playability and effectiveness are warranted by the practice of the interpreter, and a performance with a better understanding of the direct wishes of the composer.

    In this second book by researcher Juan Sebastián Ochoa Escobar, the interaction between traditional and popular Colombian music that gave rise to the consolidation of the musical work of different groups and individuals is correctly analyzed. This text examines the role of the cultural industry in the configuration of specific sounds in the coastal and paisas regional contexts.

    The musical experience of the improvisors of the andean area and the colombian caribbean

    In the music world, the importance of improvisation as a means to promote the active and creative thinking of the musician is widely recognized. Its practice involves, among other things: making decisions in real time, listening to others, predicting and experimenting with new structures and musical organizations and carrying out sensory and perceptual adjustments necessary for an adequate interpretation. This article synthesizes the main conceptions and mechanisms developed by a representative sample of Colombian improvisers in their respective contexts. For this, using an ethnomusicological methodology centered on case study, the authors examine how these musicians conceive improvisation based on their life experiences. The study shows how the instrumental improvisation observed in traditional repertoire is carried out thanks to a previous training within each cultural framework and by the usage of some raw materials and procedures.

    The ludic in the development of musical creative potentialities in early childhood

    This paper presents a vision of the creative musical development in the early childhood (from two to five years old ) departing from the sound exploration to the construction of a children's own musical making, having the playful activity as a structural basis for learning. We understand that the development of creative potential using the sound and the noise as a material of exploration allows the expansion of ideas and musical concepts, providing the formation of active, perceptive, sensitive and insightful subjects for a differentiated and open relationship with the world around the children. Based on the proposals of François Delalande and their interfaces with theorists such as Gilles Deleuze and Johan Huizinga, we propose an approach aimed at an age group which, although foreseen in Delalande's theoretical proposals, this particular age group is not sufficiently addressed in teaching. At the end, we present an experience report conducted in regular school with kindergarten students.

    Open concert. Analysis of the existing variables in the construction process of a lyric singing degree recital

    The main object of the following article is to methodologically narrate the process through which my recital degree was constructed starting with the question: how does one make a lyrical singing recital degree inviting and interesting for the audience? The question arose mainly because my interest resided in keeping the inexperienced audience's attention during the whole concert. In order to accomplish this, I began with the analysis of previous recitals, obtaining a series of structural elements that were later altered in search of creating a coherent and integral staging capable of maintaining the audience's attention and whose results could be quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed.
