Mejía Gil, María ClaudiaAstorquiza Bustos, Bilver Adrián2019-10-082019http://hdl.handle.net/10784/14223El barrio Los Conquistadores de la ciudad de Medellín en Colombia, ha sido lugar de transformaciones sociales y de apropiación del espacio, entre estas, se destacan acciones sociales que, durante más de cinco años, han venido realizando algunos habitantes desde agrupaciones organizadas como la Junta de Acción Comunal (JAC) y el colectivo de artistas Conquistarte. Esas transformaciones son un ejemplo de lo que ha venido sucediendo en la ciudad, razón por la cual se realizó un estudio sobre las acciones colectivas y su efecto en la transformación del barrio. Para lograrlo se aplicó una metodología mixta, que estuvo compuesta por entrevistas a ocho expertos representantes de los colectivos, grupos de interés y habitantes; dos sesiones de grupo con el fin de identificar las representaciones alrededor de la participación a los diversos eventos resultado de las acciones mencionadas; se introdujo un análisis de corte cuantitativo empleando la técnica de Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios con el objetivo de analizar un conjunto de indicadores socio-ambientales de la ciudad tales como homicidios, hurtos y servicio de aseo; finalmente tres talleres creativos con los grupos de interés con la finalidad de desarrollar prototipos orientativos de servicios turísticos. Los hallazgos describen cómo los procesos de participación comunitaria han tenido efectos positivos que pueden explicar la transformación social del barrio, que además muestran las representaciones sociales de la comunidad sobre su contexto, la incidencia en los indicadores de criminalidad y el potencial desarrollo de servicios turísticos a su vez del fortalecimiento de la marca ciudad de Medellín.Los Conquistadores neighborhood of Medellín city in Colombia has been place for social transformations and spaces appropriation, among these, social actions that, for more than five years, have been carried out by some inhabitants from organized groups such as the Junta de Acción Comunal (JAC) and the collective of artists Conquistarte. These transformations are an example of what has been happening in the city, which is why a study was carried out on collective actions and their effect on the transformation of the neighborhood. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was applied, which consisted of interviews with eight experts representing the groups, stakeholders and inhabitants; two group sessions in order to identify the representations around the participation to the various events resulting from the aforementioned actions and a quantitative analysis using the Ordinary Least Squares technique was introduced with the aim of analyzing a set of socio-economic indicators of the city such as homicides, robberies and toilet service; ; finally three creative workshops with the stakeholders with the aim of developing low fidelity prototypes of tourist services.
