Para esto, se tienen en cuenta las problemáticas que tiene el Municipio de Arboletes y las pérdidas monetarias que presenta la empresa Acueductos y Alcantarillados Sostenibles AAS S.A E.S.P, por el índice de agua no contabilizada (IANC) en el sistema de acueducto y alcantarillado pospago. El objetivo de evaluar el sistema prepago es que, con la compra e instalación del medidor específico para este sistema referente al “Sirus S”, se disminuya el IANC, los fraudes, costos asociados a la reinstalación y a las lecturas del medidor. Se busca que la empresa pueda ofrecer un modelo diferente al actual sistema pospago, dado que permite acceder a diferentes zonas del Municipio y alcanzar nuevos suscriptores que, de acuerdo con sus ingresos, puedan realizar las respectivas recargas. Es importante resaltar que el sistema prepago promueve un mejor racionamiento del recurso hídrico, pues los suscriptores son más conscientes de la cantidad de agua que se debe utilizar y y por lo mismo tener un mayor cuidado con el recurso, Además, y como principal propósito, se garantiza el acceso al agua potable para las comunidades económicamente más vulnerables del Municipio.In this work the different studies of the UNUDI methodology will be developed to evaluate the pre-feasibility of the pre-pay system in the aqueduct and sewerage system of the Municipality of Arboletes. For this purpose, the problems faced by the Municipality of Arboletes and the monetary losses presented by the company Acueductos y Alcantarillados Sostenibles AAS S.A. E.S.P. due to the unaccounted-for water index (IANC) in the current water and sewerage system are considered.
