Debido a lo anterior, en este trabajo de investigación se analizó la exposición a este tipo de riesgo en una CFC aplicando las metodologías del gap de reprecio, el gap de duración y el WATM gap, las cuales arrojaron una aproximación de la sensibilidad del margen neto de intereses y del valor económico del capital ante un cambio estimado en las tasas de interés para un período de tiempo de un año. Estos resultados le permitirán a la CFC plantear estrategias que le ayuden a mitigar y gestionar este tipo de riesgo en su balance y aprovechar las expectativas futuras del comportamiento de tasas.The interest rate risk in the banking book in a CFC arises mainly due to the mismatch in the repricing between active and passive rates, which implies a risk for the entity's earnings. Due to the foregoing, in this research work it was analyzed the exposure to this type of risk in a CFC applying the methodologies of the repricing gap, the duration gap and the WATM gap, which yielded an approximation of the sensitivity of the net interest margin and the economic value of equity to an estimated change on interest rates for a period of one year.
