The econometric model produces statistically significant coefficients, establishing a meaningful positive relationship between the economic growth and entrepreneurship. In addition, we found a negative connection the both the real cost of capital and the employment with entrepreneurship. By combining the insights from our econometric exercise, we estimate a structural model, which allows us to identify the most important variables with respect to the entrepreneurship. Furthermore, we apply a structural model considering the economic environment, thereby presenting a unifying structure of the observed phenomenon. The robustness of our analysis is strengthened by various specifications and we observe that applying the suggested interventions defines an economic surrounding, that favors the entrepreneurship. © 2017.spaRevista EspaciosThe creation of companies under a structural approach: An application casearticleEconomic growthEmploymentEntrepreneurshipStructural models2021-04-12Hurtado Rendón, A.Velásquez, H.Támara, A.10.5295/cdg.140511rc
