Buitrago Duque, Diana Cristina2026-04-102025-11-04https://hdl.handle.net/10784/36968Este estudio explora la manera en que la participación en bandas de marcha en Medellín contribuye al bienestar emocional, la construcción de espacios seguros y la consolidación de redes de apoyo entre personas que se identifican —y no— como parte de la comunidad LGBTIQ+. A partir de un enfoque cualitativo con perspectiva fenomenológica, se realizan entrevistas semiestructuradas a integrantes de una banda de marcha de la ciudad, con el propósito de comprender las experiencias vividas, los significados atribuidos y las dinámicas relacionales que emergen en este contexto artístico. Los hallazgos revelan que las bandas de marcha funcionan como entornos de autoafirmación, contención y crecimiento, donde el arte se convierte en un medio de resistencia, expresión identitaria y bienestar colectivo. Sin embargo, también se evidencian tensiones internas derivadas de la autoexigencia y la competencia, las cuales no anulan el carácter protector del grupo, sino que lo complejizan. En conjunto, los resultados amplían la comprensión de los espacios seguros y las redes de apoyo desde una perspectiva dinámica, en la que la seguridad y el bienestar emergen no de la ausencia de conflicto, sino de la posibilidad de habitarlo en comunidad.This study explores how participation in marching bands in Medellín contributes to emotional well-being, the creation of safe spaces, and the development of support networks among individuals who identify —and do not identify— as part of the LGBTIQ+ community. Using a qualitative, phenomenological perspective, semi-structured interviews were conducted with members of a local marching band to understand their lived experiences, the meanings they ascribe to participation, and the relational dynamics that emerge within this artistic setting. Findings reveal that marching bands function as spaces of self-affirmation, emotional containment, and personal growth, where art becomes a means of resistance, identity expression, and collective well-being. Nevertheless, internal tensions linked to self-demand and competition also arise, which, rather than negating the band’s protective nature, make it more complex.
