La investigación se fundamentó en la necesidad creciente de soluciones que integren bienestar animal, diseño funcional y sostenibilidad, en un mercado pet que registra crecimiento sostenido tanto a nivel global como en Colombia. El análisis se estructuró en diferentes dimensiones: el estudio de mercado, para identificar tendencias de consumo y segmentación de clientes; la evaluación técnica, que contempla procesos de diseño y fabricación; el análisis legal y ambiental, que revisa normativas aplicables y prácticas sostenibles en el uso de materiales; y el estudio financiero, que examina la viabilidad económica y la rentabilidad del proyecto. La metodología combinó la revisión de fuentes académicas y reportes sectoriales con la recolección de datos primarios a través de encuestas y entrevistas a tutores de gatos y actores del sector pet. Con ello, se buscó determinar la factibilidad de la iniciativa, anticipar riesgos y plantear estrategias de mitigación, consolidando a Minnino como una propuesta innovadora, sostenible y competitiva en el mercado de productos para mascotas en Colombia.The present pre-feasibility study aims to evaluate the viability of Minnino, an entrepreneurial venture dedicated to the desing and manufacturing of cat furniture in the city of Pereira. The research is grounded in the growing need for solutions that integrate animal welfare, functional design, and sustainability within a pet market that exhibits sustained growth both globally and in Colombia. The analysis is structured across different dimensions: the market study, to identify consumption trends and client segmentation; the technical evaluation, which considers design and manufacturing processes; the legal and enviromental analysis, which reviews applicable regulations and sustainable practices in material usage; and the financial study, which examines the economic viability and profitability of the project. The methodology combines the review of academic sources and industry reports with the collection of primary data through surveys and interviews with cat guardians (owners) and stakeholders in the pet sector.
