Resumen
This work is based on a formative research carried out by the SMART and SIMPRO incubators of the Eafit University and the RERDSA incubator of the University of Antioquia on the social changes that the implementation of the Ayacucho Tram has generated. This investigates the perceptions and social representations that have been built by both the community that has inhabitants and merchants and local and foreign visitors. Furthermore, it is analyzed that this Tram has implied processes of touristification of the area and is part of a horizon of meaning related to development that causes different territorialities to be built for the actors. The research methodology was qualitative using tools such as ethnography, interviews and participatory mapping. The main contributions of the study are in terms of the social implications that must be taken into account in urban planning projects, and how tourism can play a fundamental role in these projects.

Este trabajo parte de una investigación formativa que realizaron los semilleros SMART y SIMPRO de la Universidad Eafit y el semillero RERDSA de la Universidad de Antioquia sobre los cambios sociales que ha generado la implementación del Tranvía de Ayacucho. en este se indaga por las percepciones y representaciones sociales que han construido tanto la comunidad que tiene habitantes y comerciantes como los visitantes locales y extranjeros. Además, se analiza que este Tranvía ha implicado procesos de turistificación de la zona y hace parte de un horizonte de sentido relativo al desarrollo que hace que se construyan diferentes territorialidades para los actores. La metodología de la investigación fue cualitativa utilizando herramientas como la etnografía, las entrevistas y los mapeamientos participativos. Los aportes principales del estudio son en términos de las implicaciones sociales que se deben tener en cuenta en los proyectos de planeación urbana, y como la turistifación puede jugar un papel fundamental en estos proyectos.
