| dc.description | Public security has taken relevance in the public policies that seek to upturn the causes of a phenomenon, and it is here where we find crime prevention. As such, by studying we analyzed the variables, both in quality and quantity, to search for possible causes to the problem. In this first approach, our main finding was that there are multiple townships where the crime rate is higher regarding their population, in which the studied variables do not respond in the same territories. the causes of a phenomenon, observing it in a broader dimension and analyzing its qualitative and quantitative aspects, we can contribute to the creation of public policies that work from the root cause of the problem, not just react to the problem itself. The main goal of the present investigation, which is still in its first steps, is to analyze the possible structural causes which could be related to the increment in criminal rates, trying to find up to what point issues derived from marginalization, which manifest as social cohesion problems, contribute to an increment in delinquency. | dc.description | La seguridad pública ha tomado relevancia en el marco de políticas públicas que buscan trastocar la causalidad de un fenómeno, por ejemplo, las orientadas a prevenir conductas delictivas. Estudiar las causas de un fenómeno, observarlo en una dimensión amplia y analizar lo cualitativo de lo cuantitativo puede contribuir a elaborar políticas públicas que trabajen desde la raíz del problema y no desde lo reactivo. Con esta base, el principal objetivo de esta investigación, la cual se encuentra en primera etapa, es analizar las causas estructurales que podrían estar relacionadas con el alza de las tasas delictivas en el Estado mexicano de Guanajuato; es decir, en qué medida la marginación, expresada en problemas de cohesión social, contribuye allí a un incremento en los delitos. Para llevar a cabo el trabajo, se analizó cómo se ha estudiado el fenómeno delictivo con respecto al modelo de prevención del delito en el Estado de Guanajuato, se revisaron las estadísticas oficiales que ofrece el Sistema Nacional del Secretariado Ejecutivo de Seguridad Pública (SESNSP) y se hizo un análisis cualitativo y cuantitativo de las variables consideradas por la teoría revisada como causales del problema.
