Resumen

The recent wave of globalization has offered to some people the chance to move to countries where aspirations and expectations can be met and opportunities encountered, more likely than in their home country (Albano & Sánchez-Barrciarte, 2015) -- Despite Venezuela being a receptor of Colombian immigrants around the 20th century, since the end of the last decade there has been an increasing number of Venezuelans settled in cities like Medellin -- This study focused specifically on those immigrants by analyzing their profiles, reasons for leaving their country and choosing this city for their future projects, as well as their adaptation process related with migration theories
