Resumen
This paper aims to provide a brief description of the elements that deserve to be taken into account at the moment of recreating the Athenian party of the fifth century BC known as Great Dionysia. Likewise it attempts to characterize, from a double formal and substantive perspective, each of the poetic genres that were subjected to competition within the celebration. Finally, all of it is placed within the context of a figurative image, not without imagination, of some aspects which could outline the social life of that city.
