This work is a part of a research project that is still in process. The central theme of this research project revolves around the higher level education reform in Indonesia that was raised in 1999. The objective of this work is to analyze the official provisions on the badan hukum statute in order to understand the meaning of the University autonomy in Indonesia. In this research project, an extensive bibliographic analysis is carried out and then a field work is carried out between 2015 and 2017 where a survey is conducted with individual interviews with key people.Este trabajo es una parte de proyecto de investigación que aún está en proceso. El tema central de este proyecto de investigación gira en torno a la reforma educativa del nivel superior en Indonesia que se planteó en 1999. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar las disposiciones oficiales sobre el estatuto badan hukum con el fin de comprender el significado de la autonomía universitaria en Indonesia. En este proyecto de investigación se realiza un extenso análisis bibliográfico y posteriormente efectuar un trabajo de campo entre 2015 y 2017 en donde se realiza un sondeo con entrevistas individuales con personas claves.
