Resumen
This article analyzes the obstacles faced by both, the process of setting an agenda of public policies related to peacebuilding (specifically the promotion of infraestructures of peace at the local level) and, the design and implementation of it in Medellin between 2008 and 2015 -- The article also takes into account the most relevant theoretical debates within the peacebuilding literature in order to analyze two peace initiatives that can be regarded as representative of the peace building efforts at the local level in Medellin during the chosen period -- Finally, the article argues in favor of creating and promoting an interdependent, dynamic, adaptive and sustainable peace system that makes it possible to guarantee the overcoming of high rates of violence and the non-relapse in urban armed conflicts in Medellín

Este artículo analiza los obstáculos que se han presentado en Medellín entre los años 2008 y 2015 para la agendación, formulación e implementación de una política pública de construcción de infraestructuras de paz a nivel local -- Para lo anterior, se exponen los debates conceptuales que se han dado en los últimos años sobre la construcción de paz y se describen dos de las iniciativas de paz más representativas que se han presentado en este período en la ciudad -- Adicionalmente, se enfatiza en la necesidad de crear un sistema de paz interdependiente, dinámico, adaptativo y sostenible que permita garantizar la superación de los altos índices de violencia y la no recaída en conflictos armados urbanos en Medellín
