dc.description	Este trabajo presenta una revisión bibliográfica de Una habitación propia (1929), Tres guineas (1938) y la novela Las olas (1931) de Virginia Woolf, con el propósito de analizar aspectos de su escritura y su influencia en el ensayo literario. Basado en fuentes secundarias como Chikiar (2013) y Bloom (2018), el estudio reconoce el valor literario y el potencial transformador de su obra, explorando el ensayo como herramienta de pensamiento, escritura y resistencia. La investigación se estructura en torno a un marco teórico sobre el ensayo literario y la escritura femenina, y examina tres ejes: temas recurrentes, estrategias retóricas y aportes teóricos. Entre los temas se destacan la influencia de las condiciones materiales en la creación intelectual de las mujeres, la construcción de una tradición literaria femenina, la crítica a las estructuras patriarcales y la defensa de la libertad creativa a través de la mente andrógina. En el plano retórico, Woolf recurre a la narrativa personal, la ironía, el humor, las preguntas retóricas y el uso de metáforas e imágenes simbólicas, así como a citas intertextuales que dialogan con el canon. Sus aportes teóricos incluyen una reflexión feminista sobre el espacio y la economía en la creación, la problematización del canon desde una perspectiva de género y la consolidación del ensayo como forma de resistencia intelectual. El estudio concluye que la obra de Woolf ha ejercido una influencia decisiva en la literatura, la teoría feminista y la filosofía contemporánea, inspirando a autoras como Hélène Cixous, Adrienne Rich, Bell Hooks, Audre Lorde, Rebecca Solnit y Jeanette Winterson, y abriendo nuevas posibilidades para la escritura femenina y la crítica cultural.
dc.description.abstract	This paper presents a bibliographic review of Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own (1929), Three Guineas (1938), and the novel The Waves (1931), with the aim of analyzing aspects of her writing and its influence on the literary essay. Based on secondary sources such as Chikiar (2013) and Bloom (2018), the study recognizes the literary value and transformative potential of her work, exploring the essay as a tool for thought, writing, and resistance. The research is structured around a theoretical framework on the literary essay and women's writing, and examines three axes: recurring themes, rhetorical strategies, and theoretical contributions. Among the themes, the influence of material conditions on women's intellectual creation, the construction of a female literary tradition, the critique of patriarchal structures, and the defense of creative freedom through the androgynous mind stand out. On a rhetorical level, Woolf uses personal narrative, irony, humor, rhetorical questions, and the use of metaphors and symbolic images, as well as intertextual quotations that engage in dialogue with the canon. Her theoretical contributions include a feminist reflection on space and economics in creation, the problematization of the canon from a gender perspective, and the consolidation of the essay as a form of intellectual resistance. The study concludes that Woolf's work has had a decisive influence on literature, feminist theory, and contemporary philosophy, inspiring authors such as Hélène Cixous, Adrienne Rich, Bell Hooks, Audre Lorde, Rebecca Solnit, and Jeanette Winterson, and opening up new possibilities for women's writing and cultural criticism.
