El funcionamiento del taumátropo es tan simple que parece trivial. Sin embargo, hay una condición: las imágenes deben ser complementarias, sin ser redundantes. Por ejemplo, aunque un pájaro no es una jaula ni una jaula es un pájaro, las dos tienen algo en común.
The way a thaumatrope works is so simple that it seems trivial. However, there is one condition: the images must be complementary, without being redundant. For example, although a bird is not a cage, nor is a cage a bird, the two have something in common.
