A propósito de la novela Los cuadernos de don Rigoberto de Mario Vargas Llosa(Universidad EAFIT, 2011) Guarín Hincapié, Doris NataliaThe novel The Notebooks of Don Rigoberto establishes a kind of appropriation of pictorial imaging that breaks up with the previous paradigm of transcendent contemplation, and gives way to a kind of interpretation that, on the one hand, thinks of imaging as a universe of meaning (don Rigoberto) and, on the other hand, takes what is known about imaging as a potentially representative action (Alfonso). Therefore, we bear witness to the fluctuation between the written fixation of imaging, expressed in creative liberty, and the possibility to stage it by means of thorough imitation. Likewise, themes such as biographic reference and its functionality when thinking of the sense of an image, and reproduction as an axis transforming the reception of art works and of the Museum, among others, single out and intensify the reflection proposed in this paper.
