    The University of Antioquia is a public institution of higher education, recognized nationally and internationally for its academic excellence and its innovation and support of the community, the territories and the environmental sustainability -- Framed in these challenges, it presupposes reaching high levels of management, the achievement of mission objectives and the commitment on behalf of the senior leadership support -- This research is focused on determining the possible relationships of performance with the job satisfaction of teachers, and the leadership style and power profile of the directors of six academic units of the University through the application of a qualitative instrument. In order to extract some reference elements for future career plans, training and potential management, which can be developed and implemented in the institution -- Once the results of the surveys have been analyzed, it is possible to conclude that there is no direct correlation between these variables that would allow us to give guidance on the most effective type of leader that this type of organizations requires
