    Starting from the case that there’s no optimal capital structure and that the impact of the companies’ debt level is required to be assessed, this paper analyses the factors that usually the financial administrators take into account in order to decide whether acquire, raise, maintain or avoid debt. For the study of the contributing factors in those decisions, it will be taken into account those companies in Colombia that quote in the stock market.

    Empatía y toma de decisiones en la entrevista de selección de personal : una aproximación teórica

    Objective: stablish the importance of empathy on decision making in the process of em-ployee’s selection with the propose of contribute to the knowledge generated towards a subprocess of selection in the human management areas. Method: the present investigation has a qualitative and hermeneutical approach, and it will be made through a comprehensive interpretation of the theoretical speeches of empathy, decision making, and selection process based on a documentary review. Investigation question: Is the empathy an influencing factor on the decision making of the selection process? Results: Propose an alternative selection process were the empathy is included on the decision making for the human management.

    Equidad de género : percepciones de los profesionales de gestión humana en los procesos de selección y su influencia en la toma de decisiones

    To identify human resources professionals' perceptions about the gender equity concept and how such perceptions impact the decision-making in selection processes. Method: Qualitative research focus. The method used was the speech analysis with a critical approach, allowing us, through semi-structured interviews, to get an understanding of the phenomenon studied. Research ques-tion: The problem statement was summarized with the following research question: ¿What are the perceptions of some human resources professionals around gender equity; and what impact do these perceptions have in making decisions in the selection processes? Results: This investigation intended to create awareness in organizations, senior management and human resources profes-sionals of the importance of including the gender equity as a key guiding principle in the selection processes, as well as to discover the coherence between what is said and what is really done around about gender equity.

    The necessity of doing this investigation is because of the accelerated behavior of the wine market that is experiencing Colombia nowadays. The increasing demand, added to the creation of new categories such as organic and low cost wines, have triggered a wider wine offer and a harder decision making for consumers that is relevant to study. The consumer’s purchasing behavior it’s been studied along this investigation through experts interviews and a massive consumers survey that showed how consumption moments and diferent lifestyles are actually an external variable that condition the purchase. The study shows the colombian wine market at first, in order to explore possible purchasing decision influencers directly inside retailers.

    With the purpose of developing a pilot test that may contribute to further research on the managerial skills of entrepreneurs whose projects have survived over time, a closed survey was applied that allowed knowing the self-perception of the managerial skills of five entrepreneurs who have remained active in the market in the metropolitan area of the Aburrá Valley, and compares the results obtained. After its execution, both the demographic data and the self-perceived skills with higher and lower similar qualifications among the respondents were identified.

    This research analyzes the impact of technological tools on human talent management in Latin American organizations. The implementation of technological platforms in human resources processes has transformed the way organizations manage their talent, enhancing both efficiency and strategic decision-making. These tools enable the automation and optimization of processes such as recruitment, selection, performance management, and professional development. This ensures that the right people are placed in the right roles, based on accurate and up-to-date data. Furthermore, technology facilitates access to relevant information, which drives the growth and development of human capital. The study highlights that technology not only improves operational efficiency but also strengthens the relationship between employees and the organization. The implementation of these tools allows for a more personalized and closer approach to management, addressing the needs and expectations of employees. However, the adoption of technology also presents challenges, such as the need to adapt existing processes and the resistance to change among staff. It is essential for organizations to conduct a thorough analysis of their needs and select the appropriate tools to maximize benefits. In conclusion, technological tools are essential for modern human talent management, providing competitive advantages to organizations that implement them effectively. This study underscores the importance of technology in transforming human resources processes and its positive impact on organizational performance.

    Identificación y priorización de variables, métodos, técnicas y herramientas de los métodos de prospectiva y la toma de decisiones en proyectos de innovación según eje de estudio

    The objective of this research was to identify and prioritize the variables, methods, techniques and tools of the prospective methods and decision-making in innovation projects according to the axis of study. For this purpose, a descriptive quantitative methodology was proposed. 18 articles were selected through current and impact criteria, which were the basis to fulfill the object of study. Among the most relevant results, it was found that when making long-term planning, experts give a higher rating (priority) to those methods that use knowledge and experience such as Delphi and Delphi in Real Time. One of them, the Expert Consultation method with a consensus of 63%, was highlighted as one of the most accepted methods by experts in terms of decision-making. Likewise, the Critical Success Factors method was rated as a priority. Among some conclusions, it is possible to point out that experts have a greater affinity towards the most recognized methods and sometimes do not recognize some models that can contribute effectively to the evolution of companies.

    Libertad : principio frommiano para la toma de decisiones y el establecimiento de interrelaciones

    The objective of this text is to reflect on the relationship of freedom, with the decision making and its potential for interrelations, from the perspective of Erich Fromm, showing possible practical implications. The method used was hermeneutics, which is the art of understanding and / or interpreting discourses in order to carry out a monographic study on the concepts mentioned. The main findings are the paradox between freedom and decision making, the different senses in which the process of freedom and the interrelation that can be generated between the three concepts mentioned can be understood and experienced. Finally, the conclusions that are theoretical, methodological and practical.

    Motivaciones de compra de camisetas en jóvenes centeniales en la ciudad de Pereira, Colombia

    This research focuses on the motivations that influence the T-shirts purchasing decisions of young centennials. The perspectives and experiences of ten students from 14 to 19 years old, belonging to socioeconomic strata 1, 2 and 3, from nine Educational Institutions in Pereira, Colombia, are explored. The methodological approach is qualitative and exploratory, using semi-structured interviews to collect data. The results highlight the importance of comfort, durability and personal style needs as key factors in the choice of t-shirts for this demographic group. Likewise, the investigation into the emotional aspects allowed us to identify the sensation of sensory reward when acquiring a garment, linked to feelings of happiness and gratification. Socially, an identification with groups, a search for authenticity and an expression free of labels was observed, which becomes a significant purchase motivation. These findings reveal a complex intersection of motivations that guide the purchasing decisions of the population studied.
