    Como tambor y voz : análisis de la aplicación del piano en músicas afroamericanas

    This work analyzes the influence of African elements on the piano language of Afro-descendant music from the Americas. It addresses structural, rhythmic, and timbral elements that reveal a musical logic inherited from African tradition--reinterpreted through the piano in genres such as jazz, salsa, funk, and blues. It addresses the piano as a percussive and expressive instrument beyond its traditional melodic-harmonic conception in genres such as salsa and funk. Additionally, this document proposes an analytical framework based on organizational principles characteristic of African music, such as the interaction between constant and variable elements and the combination of binary and ternary pulse groupings. This text aims to delve deeper into the elements that allow us to understand the Africanisms of the piano in the Americas, with special interest in their future application to the study of Afro-Colombian music.

    Funcionalidad y recursos tímbricos en la guitarra : clasificación de las posibilidades tímbricas del instrumento para enriquecer una propuesta musical interpretativa

    This article approaches timbre as an important aspect in the interpretation of works for guitar and focuses particularly on a repertoire in which timbre indications are not explicit. For that purpose, the role that timbre has occupied within the guitar community throughout history is initially defined; afterwards, it is determined which technical aspects of the instrument allow timbre variation; and, finally, the functions that timbre occupies within musical discourse are classified based on examples from different stylistic periods. The goal is to present an interpretative vision, through which the guitarist interpreter can incorporate these colours in a clear, conscious, and coherent way with the musical discourse.

    Vuelo de pájaros proceso creativo

    La siguiente monografía pretende dar cuenta del proceso creativo e investigativo de la compositora, de una obra sinfónica, Vuelo de pájaros, en la que toma como inspiración un sonido natural – el aleteo de las aves – y las adquisiciones técnico-teóricas de la escuela espectralista y su poética -- Para ello, la investigadora comienza con una presentación del contexto histórico y los antecedentes musicales de la escuela espectralista: Claude Debussy, Edgar Varese, Giacinto Scelsi y Olivier Messiaen -- Luego, explica las técnicas compositivas de György Ligeti y Gérard Grisey, quienes se convierten en las referencias musicales que le sirvieron como inspiración para la creación de su obra sinfónica -- Adicionalmente, la autora indaga en la física del sonido y explica los parámetros básicos que le fueron determinantes para tomar las decisiones de su obra musical -- Finalmente, presenta el análisis formal de la obra sinfónica, Vuelo de pájaros
