    This study analyzed the possible effects and relations of cash holding on the capital structure and other dimensions such as the profitability, operational efficiency, investment, and payment policy of Colombian companies between 2015 and 2018. This study shows the evidence of cash holding to mitigate refinancing risk and, furthermore, that cash holding policies and their effect on other corporate financial dimensions depend on the industry which the company belongs. This study is qualitative and exploratory, non-experimental, and provides evidence of the effect of cash holding on the capital structure.
