Ítem Afectación de las habilidades sociales en el trastorno bipolar(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Mora Muriel, Carolina; Echeverri Álvarez,JonathanThis study seeks to describe, through the experience and perceptions of patients, how social skills are affected in some subjects diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the city of Medellín in 2019. Objective: to identify the various factors influencing the development of social skills, to describe the characteristics that some subjects possess about bipolar disorder, and to give an analysis of these social skills affects in some subjects with bipolar disorder. Method: The tendencies denoted in the investigation on the two variables are approached through historical accounts, contextualizations and/or different postures for the suffering of this one in the psychic life. With the following exploration instrument, four semi-structured interviews were carried out in order to compile all the information referring to the subjects. The type of study is qualitative, to four people diagnosed with 2 bipolar disorder in the city of Medellín in 2019. Referential framework: It is built from establishing the state of the art regarding the issue and the definition of two essential concepts, these are: Social representations and psychotic disorder. Reference is also made to an equally important concept which is: The family. Method: This is a cross-sectional descriptive qualitative study based on semi-structured interviews with some family members of a person diagnosed with psychotic disorder. Results: Regarding the social representations, it was evidenced that the information on the diagnosis is acquired through: The experience, the accompaniment of the family member to psychiatric medicine, training and / or common knowledge. Regarding the field of representation, it was found that there is an image of the diagnosis as a learning opportunity, of affecting the environment and an image of the family bond as distant. It was found that the attitude towards the diagnosis is characterized by the concerns and expectations that are oriented to the family member, the family and the people in the environment. In addition, there is an ambivalent attitude regarding the current situation of the family in terms of well-being. Discussion and conclusions: A dialogue is carried out between the results and the referential framework, identifying the level of similarity or difference with the present research, answering the research question. At the same time, the usefulness of the findings, recommendations for future research, and limitations of this research are presented.
