Ítem Desarrollo de un transductor de torque de bajo costo, utilizando galgas extensiométricas y protocolos de comunicación del internet de las cosas(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Correa Hernández, Abraham Andrés; Botero Herrera, Francisco JavierThe objective of this project was to develop a low-cost torque transducer that had the ability to send data in real time to multiple devices by applying Internet of Things communication protocols. To begging with the development, it was first necessary to collect bibliographic information to be aware of similar developments, the second step to follow was to define the operating parameters under which the prototype would be designed. Once the design parameters were defined, the quantitative comparison of the different low-cost microcontrollers was carried out to determine which is the most appropriate, with this step concluded, the conceptual design was carried out using the CAD tool of the different components of the transducer. With the preliminary designs completed, we proceeded to carry out the solution of the mathematical models that describe the behavior of the torque and at the same time the finite element simulation of the transducer was performed. The results obtained from the mathematical models and the simulation results were compared to determine if the simulation describes the effects suffered by the material. Once the stress analysis of the transducer was completed, the process of generating the manufacturing drawings began, and at the same time the process of developing the communication interfaces began using the Internet of Things communication protocol. It was concluded that the microcontroller that is most appropriated to the needs is the RASPBERRY PI ZERO W, because it does not require an externals module for establishing remote connections. Mathematical models and finite element simulations showed that the 6061 T6 aluminum alloy is capable of withstanding the proposed working conditions and it was possible to establish data communication between the RASPBERRY and a computer using an interface in LABVIEW using the TCP / IP communication protocol.
