    This document, the degree paper prepared as a requirement for the Master of Project Management of Universidad EAFIT, carries out the feasibility study for a bicycle rental project in the academic community of this university. For this, the guidelines of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology are followed, which 10 allows to know the viability of a project through market, environmental, social, economic, technical, legal and financial studies, and perform a risk matrix. The idea arises from the identification of a business opportunity in Medellín, a city where there is a growing market related to sustainable mobility that show the incentive of the use of alternative means of transport such as the bicycle, the increase of people aware of environmental care and the increase in cycle paths –80 km of new ones in 2019–. All this makes the idea of implementing a bicycle rental project attractive, specifically on the campus that the university has in the city. The results of this research must provide a financial model and a matrix of risks and opportunities for the decision making of the implementation or not of the project by Renting Colombia, a simplified joint stock company.
