La percepción de bienestar de las mujeres caficultoras antioqueñas : desafíos y oportunidades para el sector privado
(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Díaz Calle, Andrea; García Luna, Estefanía
Coffee farming in Antioquia is a key sector for the local economy and culture, yet women coffee farmers still face significant challenges regarding economic empowerment and household well-being. This study examines the perception of well-being among women coffee farmers in southwestern Antioquia, identifying barriers and opportunities for their development. Using a mixed-methods approach based on surveys, the research evaluates key dimensions such as access to productive resources, economic decision-making, and the distribution of household responsibilities. The findings reveal that, although most women own their land, they face limitations in accessing credit, technology, and technical training. Additionally, the burden of domestic and productive work restricts their participation in decision-making and training opportunities. The study concludes that the private sector can play a key role in improving the well-being of these women by promoting inclusive financing strategies, specialized training, and measures to reduce gender inequalities in coffee farming.

(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Betancur Orlas, Sandra Carolina; Ramos Villa, María Eugenia; Ramos Villa, María Eugenia
This work addresses the question about the factors that contribute to the success of the private sector advocacy around public management taking Proantioquia and its work between 2006 and 2020 as a case study. The private sector has a main role in generating social development. It is an agent that affects development from a capital profitability perspective and the creation of public and social value. Some of the recommendations that result from this work have to do with the participation of the private sector in the creation of transformative projects with a long-term vision and articulated work.

The private sector on the peacebuilding in Colombian postconflict: A theoretical study
(Universidad EAFIT, 2020-12-07) Bedoya Dorado, Cristian; Charfuelán Aguirre , Melissa; Lumen Gentium Catholic University Foundation; Universidad del Valle
With the signing of the Peace Agreement between the national government of Colombia and the then Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - Ejército del Pueblo (FARC-EP) in 2016, a post-conflict scenario begins in Colombia, characterized by a series of challenges and the need for input from various actors, including the business sector. The objective of this article is to explore and analyze the practices and actions that companies can carry out to contribute to the construction of peace. To this end, an exploratory research was carried out with a documentary design divided into two phases, on the one hand, a review of the literature on peacebuilding business practices, and on the other, a documentary analysis on guides and peacebuilding proposals from national and international organizations. The results suggest that the companies support the construction of peace mainly from CSR practices and shared value oriented to economic development. This corresponds to the guidelines of national and international organizations that are geared towards generating jobs and entrepreneurship projects.
