This study aims to determine through the Event Study Methodology, whether the actions taken by the Colombian government in order to take action over the possible effects of the pandemic generated statistically significant impacts on 9 selected stocks belonging to the Colombian Stock Exchange, verifying in turn the hypothesis of market efficiency. For its verification, different types of announcements were considered. Such as international news regarding the evolution of the pandemic, national emergency declarations, as well as announcements of economic reactivation. In general, we can conclude that the announcement of national relevance was those that generated the highest significant abnormal returns and that the Colombian stock market presents medium efficiency since there was no uniform an immediate reaction to all of the events.Ítem Propuesta de asesoría orientada al financiamiento de las pymes con el sector financiero(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Valdivieso Castillo, Laura; Valdivieso Castillo, Laura Marcela; Rojas de Francisco, Laura Isabel; Medina Arango, Óscar EduardoThe present MBA’s research study is oriented to show the different alternative sources of financing that can be used by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). It is elaborated through desk research and gathering of experience from the practice, with the purpose of showing the advantages, disadvantages and restrictions that these types of companies find, when they need to access to both internal and external financial sources and the characteristics that must have in account when making a financing decision. It is important to emphasize that the different mechanisms to which they can apply require different requirements, which will depend more on market trajectory, commercial history and, above all, their indebtedness capacity. As a result of this exercise, this study propose several aid elements that will serve as a guide to give companies a step by step in the application and more specially, in the correct application of financing, The study results includes spreadsheet simulators to examine the current accounting situation and a guide based in the information provided by interviews with officers of financial and banking sector points of view, when approving credit operations and the description of practical and real life cases of SMEs in which it is reviewed how has been its trajectory and situation before the request of leverage This results in real aid to SMEs, which contribute not only to the financial education of SMEs, but also to mitigate the wastage of financial mechanisms that contribute to the sustainable development of the same
