    Non-profit entities in Colombia have the challenge of being sustainable over time to continue carrying out its mission and positively impact society. This challenge entails the permanent search for new sources of financing that allow not only contribute in the search to generate a greater impact, but even be able to sustain the operating expenses derived from having an entity of this type. This methodological guide, although it is based on definitions that may become specific of the education sector, aims to serve as an orientation and source of consultation for different non-profit entities in Colombia that are analyzing or in the process of creating a fundraising unit. A series of stages will be presented below that we recommend should be filled in the process of creating such a strategy or area. We will initially cover some essential concepts for understanding this work to then address some practical recommendations.
