Publicación Estudio de prefactibilidad para el desarrollo de un centro de bienestar con enfoque en experiencias sensoriales para la salud integral mediante la metodología ONUDI(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Estrada Osorno, Carolina; Restrepo Retrepo, Laura Isabel; Guerrero Latorre, Jorge ArleyThis tesis presents a prefeasibility study for the creation of a wellness center focused on sensory experiences, aimed at strengthening overall health and preventing or reducing disorders such as anxiety, depression, and stress. The research applies the UNIDO methodology, which systematically evaluates the technical, financial, legal, environmental, and market aspects of the project. The proposal is based on Mindfulness-Based Art Therapy (MBAT), an approach that integrates mindfulness techniques meditation, yoga, conscious breathing with artistic and sensory activities, such as clay modeling, mandalas, chromotherapy, and aromatherapy. The goal is to activate all five senses to promote emotional self regulation and balance between body and mind. The concept arises in response to the global increase in mental health problems, intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic. In Colombia, more than 60% of the population has experienced some issue in this area, with limited access to early care. This highlights the need for preventive and complementary approaches to traditional treatments. The study includes sector and environmental analysis, market research, technical design, regulatory review, financial evaluation, and risk analysis. A mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative) is adopted, using surveys and tools such as PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces. The results of the sector analysis show low direct competition and limited threat from new entrants, although with high bargaining power on the part of clients. The PESTEL analysis reveals a favorable political and legal framework, sustained growth in the wellness sector, increasing social awareness of mental health, technological opportunities, and a marked trend toward environmental sustainability. Market research in Medellín, focused on middle and high-income segments, confirms interest and willingness to pay for comprehensive wellness services. The technical study defines location, space distribution, supplies, and staff profiles; the administrative component proposes an efficient organizational structure; and the legal analysis establishes the licensing, tax, and environmental requirements necessary for operation. From a financial standpoint, the study calculates initial investment, capital structure, revenue projections, and operating costs, resulting in positive profitability indicators. The risk analysis identifies threats in operational, legal, commercial, and financial areas, proposing mitigation strategies to ensure sustainability. In summary, the study demonstrates that conducting a full feasibility assessment is viable, as all evaluated aspects show positive outcomes and the project has strong potential for market differentiation. Its innovative therapeutic approach, backed by scientific evidence, positions it as an effective and sustainable alternative to promote mental health and overall well-being in the Colombian context.Publicación Repercusiones de los juegos gacha en la salud mental(Universidad EAFIT, 2025-11-12) Campuzano Gaviria, Luis David; Carmona Otalvaro, Juan GabrielThe general objective of this study was to explore the relationship between prolonged use of gacha games and mental health repercussions in a group of young adults from specific municipalities in Antioquia and the city of Bogotá in 2025. Using a qualitative approach and semi-structured interviews with 11 players, the research evaluated the effects on emotional well-being, social relationships, academic performance, and financial stability, as well as identifying risk and protective factors. The results reveal a complex relationship: on one hand, significant negative repercussions were found, such as a high emotional dependence on game outcomes, a tendency toward procrastination, and, critically, a considerable risk to financial stability, which can escalate into problematic spending motivated by status-seeking. On the other hand, and in contrast to prevailing literature, it was observed that gacha games can act as catalysts for the expansion of social relationships. It is concluded that while these games present serious risks to mental health, their impact is moderated by factors such as risk awareness, the player's support network, and their individual personality traits. This study provides an initial understanding of the phenomenon in the Colombian context, underscoring the need for future research and potential regulations.
