    Esquema de clasificación del repertorio para una orquesta de nivel intermedio a partir de la problemática de una orquesta en formación

    One of the challenges faced by directors of orchestral programs in education is the search for repertoire that works well for the ensemble. This has been a topic of discussion and reflection among directors, who seek different methodologies to make accurate choices in this regard. Colombia is a musical territory, and although the band ensemble is predominant, there has been noticeable growth in youth orchestras in the country. Over the past decade, orchestral educators and public and private institutions have been promoting various classification tools for assessing the levels of ensembles and their repertoire. However, there is a need to unify these tools so that our language converges under the same parameters. This article documents the process undertaken with the Rionegro Symphony Orchestra when selecting repertoire. Thanks to this, a tool is generated that encourages thinking about aspects specific to art, music, and education.
