Publicación Lecciones aprendidas : casos de éxito y mejoras durante la implementación del programa de sostenibilidad de Intentional Sourcing en los municipios de Quinchía y La Celia Risaralda(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Guerrero Arias, Yovany Andrés; Henao Arango, Maria CeciliaRGC Coffee is a Canadian coffee importing company, which is committed to the sustainable supply of coffee to different clients abroad, and at the same time is a strategic ally for roaster suppliers and retail brands around the world. The strategy of RGC Coffee is to invest the premiums generated by the commercialization of green coffee in the zones from where the product is being supplied. For this purpose, sustainability projects are generated through cooperatives, where the capital generated now of doing business with the final client is reinvested with the associates of the zone of impact. In relation to the above, the objective of this paper is to analyze and document the lessons learned during the first year of implementation of one of the sustainability programs that RGC Coffee has with the U.S. company Tree House through the Intentional Sourcing program in the municipalities of Quinchía and La Celia Risaralda, thus seeking to generate recommendations that help to have a greater impact on future projects of the company. This document was based on the methodology of the Inter-American Development Bank and through the analysis of the results of surveys, interviews and document review to finally obtain the cases of success and failure, as well as some general recommendations of great utility for future sustainability projects.
